Rep. Juan Vargas Statement on Iran Crackdown on Protesters

WASHINGTON - Today, U.S. Representative Juan Vargas (D-CA-52) released the following statement on reports that Iran's crackdown on nationwide protests has killed over 6,000 people. 

"I am horrified and outraged by this crackdown on unarmed protesters in Iran. For too long, Iranians have suffered at the hands of a brutal and violent authoritarian regime. I stand in full solidarity with the people of Iran as they demand freedom, humanity, and a better future."
