Washington, D.C. — Today, the Congressional Sustainable Investment Caucus released the following statement on H.J. Resolution 30, which repeals a Department of Labor rule allowing fiduciaries to consider ESG factors in investment decisions:

“We strongly oppose Republican efforts to overturn the Biden Administration’s rulemaking that gives retirement plan fiduciaries the option to consider environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors when they select retirement investments and exercise shareholder rights."

(January 30, 2023) – Today, the U.S. House of Representatives voted to pass Congressmember Juan Vargas’ (CA-52) Credit Union Board Modernization Act, H.R. 582.  This legislation would update the Federal Credit Union Act to modify current federal requirements for federal credit union board meetings and alter requirements that credit union boards meet once per month to once every other month.
